This policy explains what personal information Markevix (markevixreach.com) collects, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and the choices you have, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. It covers visitors to our website, our business customers and their team members, and the people whose contact details our customers give us.

1. Two different roles

For the contacts our customers give us (their distributors, customers or members), the customer decides why and how they are messaged. Markevix processes that information on the customer's behalf and on their instructions. For our own website enquiries, customer accounts and billing, Markevix decides how the information is used.

2. What we collect

  • Website enquiries: the name, company, email address, mobile number and message you type into our contact form, and the time you agreed to be contacted.
  • Customer accounts: names, work email addresses, roles, and billing details such as company name, address and GST number. Passwords are stored in a protected form and we cannot read them.
  • Contacts our customers provide: names, mobile numbers, state, district, interests, tags, and the record of consent or opt-out (source, date and notes).
  • Messaging records: which template was sent to which number, and the status updates WhatsApp reports for it (such as sent, delivered, read or failed). If someone replies, we store the reply so that opt-out requests such as STOP can be honoured.
  • WhatsApp connection details: the identifiers of the connected WhatsApp Business account and number, its quality level and message limits as Meta reports them, and an access token that lets us send on the customer's behalf. Tokens are stored encrypted.
  • Payments: invoice and payment status. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by us.
  • Technical records: sign-in times and security logs, used to keep the service safe and to investigate problems.

3. Why we use it

We rely on the consent of the person concerned, on the instructions of the customer who gave us their contact details, or on a purpose the law allows, such as meeting a legal duty. We do not use personal information for advertising.

  • To provide the service: connect WhatsApp, send campaigns to people who have consented, record opt-outs and show results.
  • To respond to enquiries and arrange demos.
  • To invoice, collect payment and keep the accounts the law requires.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.

4. Consent and opt-outs

Markevix is built to message only people who have agreed. A customer cannot add a contact without the source and date of that contact's consent. If a person opts out, we record it and do not message that number for that customer again, even if the number appears in a later contact file. We keep the opt-out record, and the evidence of earlier consent, even if a contact is later deleted, because removing it could lead to messaging someone who asked us to stop.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

  • Meta (WhatsApp), to send and receive messages and manage templates. Meta handles that information under its own terms and privacy policy, and may process it outside India.
  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers, which store and process data for us under our instructions.
  • Our payment provider, when a customer pays an invoice online.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

6. Where data is kept and for how long

We host our systems in India. We keep a customer's data while the customer uses the service. After the service ends we delete or anonymise the customer's contacts and messages within 90 days, or sooner if the customer asks, except the records described below. Invoices and related accounting records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Website enquiries are kept for as long as needed to follow them up, and no longer than 12 months after the last contact. Security logs are kept for up to 12 months.

The opt-out record and the evidence of consent for a number are kept after a deletion request, as explained in the section on consent and opt-outs, so that the number is never messaged again by mistake.

7. Security

Access to the staff console needs two-step verification. WhatsApp access tokens are encrypted, and data is backed up in encrypted form. Each customer's data is kept separate from every other customer's. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell the people and the authorities concerned as the law requires.

8. Cookies on our website

Our public website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The client dashboard and staff console use a sign-in cookie that is needed to keep you signed in; it is not used for tracking.

9. Your rights

Use the contact details on this page, or the steps on our Data Deletion page. We answer within 30 days. If your details were given to us by one of our customers, we will pass your request to that customer as well.

  • See what personal information we hold about you and how it is used.
  • Have wrong or incomplete information corrected.
  • Have your information deleted, subject to the records we must or need to keep.
  • Withdraw a consent you gave us. This does not affect what happened before.
  • Name another person to exercise these rights for you if you cannot.
  • Complain to us, and if you are not satisfied with our answer, to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operating or to any other authority the law provides.

10. Children

Markevix is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we tell customers about important changes.
